Does the Indian Rationalist Association target only the people who follow native superstitions? Or does it also target people who believe that a statute of the Mother Mary can shed tears of blood?

  5. @Amit: From the wikipedia page: After his attempts failed the tantrik reported that Edamaruku must be under the protection of a powerful god, to which Edamaruku responded that he was an atheist. Couldn't be a more fitting end to such mumbo jumbo

As for Sanal, I found this website after the video got posted on reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/atheism/comments/gqg2k/atheist_challenged_indian_black_magician_to_kill/) I am a NRI living in Ireland, a staunch Atheist and I absolutely love the work you and you're organisation are doing. My only gripe is the online platform you are using. In today age of interconnectivity, I think you would better reach the people with something more than a blogspot account. Investing on creating a standalone website and maybe getting the 'Modern Freethinker' published as an online magazine would do wonders for the movement, and allow Indians like myself access your work.

  6. I completely agree with vishnu, you need better PR. If you are going to fight organisations for whom 'god' does the marketing you need something better than a blog. A brand name and a wikileaks style donation frenzy might help if cash is where the bottleneck is.
